JOE STANLEY MARCUM, was born May 30, 1926, and departed this life January 6, 2007, reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Charlie Joe Cleveland Marcum and Ethel Paige Marcum.

He was married to Ruby Owens and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Marcum; one son, Stanley Eugene Marcum "better known as Bud" of Albany, KY, 3 daughters, Betty Sue Marcum Shelton of Albany, KY, Faye Ann Marcum Means and Geraldine Marcum Shelton "better known as Gerry" of Monticello, KY; and one brother James Marcum of New Castle, IN. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and one step-great grandchild; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie and Ethel Marcum; 3 brothers, Sammy, Robert, and Riley Marcum; and 2 sisters, Ora Conner and Ollie Jane King.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
