Jimmy Sidwell was born July 3, 1966, and departed this life Friday, December 30, 2022, reaching the age of 56 years. He was the son of the late Agnes (Troxell) Sidwell.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Tara (Clif) Smith and Ashley Ware; 2 brothers, Don (Patty) Sidwell and Claude Sidwell, Jr.; 1 sister, Effie Clark; 6 grandchildren, Aiden, Alex, and Amelia Smith & Madison, Jordin, and Braxton Ware; along with a host of family and friends who mourns his passing.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Sidwell; 4 brothers, Gene, Bill, Stanley, Calvin and Michael Sidwell; and 7 sisters, Betty Piercy, Joyce Burchett, Erma Swift, Lucy Barnett, Minnie Sidwell, Anna Mae Hancock, and Mary Walker.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 5, 2023, between 10 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Cartwright Cemetery.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Cartwright Cemetery Fund.
