Jessie Daffron Garcia, age 98, of Monticello Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Jessie was born on February 19, 1927, in Louisville, Kentucky to Jess and Ocie Lee. She lived a long and fulfilling life.

Jessie was first married to George Daffron on May 9, 1941. They shared 30 years together until his passing in 1971. They raised three beautiful children together, Douglas Daffron, Sandra (Daffron) Cayce and Peggy (Daffron) Hunt whom they loved and adored. Later, Jessie found love again and married Armand Garcia on August 16, 1988. Together, they ballroom danced, traveled, and enjoyed many happy years.

She is survived by her brother Donald Lee and sister Odie B Criswell, daughters Sandra Cayce and Peggy Hunt, grandchildren Stuart Dishman, Angela Cayce, Brandon Hunt, Steve Daffron, Tammy Daffron, Regina Daffron Adkins along with many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by spouses George Daffron, Armand Garcia, son Douglas Daffron, siblings Marcia Gehring, Evelyn Stringer Smith, Russell Lee, Jack Lee and Kenneth Lovelace.

Jessie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 8, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
