Obituary
JESSIE BARNES, age 79, of Kendrick Avenue, the wife of Melvin Barnes, passed away Saturday, March 10th 2007 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Somerset, KY. She was born May 20th, 1937 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Joe Stringer and Estill Brumley Stringer.
She is survived by her husband Melvin Barnes, and three sisters-Earlene Troxell of Monticello, KY, Maxine Six and Lena Troxell, both of Jacksonville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-Herbert Stringer and two sisters-Mary Poore and Oreta Brown.
She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, relative and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5:30 PM on Sunday, March 11th, 2007 in the chapel of the funeral home.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Monday, March 12th, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
