Jerry Lynn Bertram was born February 11, 1949, and departed this life Saturday, April 4, 2026, reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of the late Roy and Addi Jane (Cross) Bertram.
He is survived by: his wife, Aletha Bertram; children, Ben Sumpter (Julie), Ashley Sanders (Andy), and Ryan Sumpter; grandkids, Elizabeth and Mason Sumpter, and Harper Hancock; sister-in-law, Anita Sumpter; and brother-in-law, Audie Coffey; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Roy and Ada Bertram, he was preceded in death by his special mother-in-law, Ina Jean Coffey.
Jerry was a U. S. Air Force veteran who served his country proudly.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
