Janie Jones was born September 28, 1945, and departed this life Sunday, December 15, 2025, reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby (Kenney) Wilhite.

She is survived by: one son, Loval Jones (Cherre); three grandchildren, Dylan, Kensey, and Robert; and two great grandchildren, Sophia and Robby; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Robert and Ruby Wilhite, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Herbert Ray Jones; one brother, James Edgar Wilhite; and four sisters, Joanna Higginbotham, Regina Vanzant, Peggy Upchurch, and Wanda Lovett.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Graveside and interment services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 2 pm at the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  House of Blessings or Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
