Janice Frances Ramsey

Janice Frances Ramsey, age 71, of Monticello, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

Janice was born on August 7, 1954 in Monticello, KY to the late Howard Alexander Caylor and Betty Shearer Caylor, who survives. She is preceded in death by her father, and infant brother, Howard Stephen.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 52 years, Willie Ramsey, her daughter Amy Bates, and her husband Joe, her sister Joyce Dunagan , and her husband Gary, her brother Duard Caylor, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends.

Janice was a dedicated wife, mother, homemaker, Bible class teacher, and caretaker who lived the life of a servant in selfless devotion to her family and friends. She was fascinated by family ancestry and followed in her mother’s footsteps trying to preserve family history.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.

A graveside memorial service at Stop Cemetery will be held at a later date with arrangements pending. The Hicks Vaughn Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
