Janice Mae Patton McGinnis was born April 3, 1951 and departed this life Thursday, August 16, 2018 reaching the age of 67 years. She was the daughter of the late Proctor "Bill" and Dorothy (Massengale) Patton.


She is survived by: her husband, Phil McGinnis; one son, Jason McGinnis; one daughter, Leslie Boggs; three grandchildren, Tosha Boggs, Deshon Boggs, and James McGinnis; and two great grandchildren, Madison Boggs and Jayden Boggs. She is also survived by: four brothers, Billy (Julie), Larry (Rhonda), Donald (Teresa), and Bobby (Christy) Patton; and two sisters, Cindy and Tracy Patton; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


The family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 2018 between 5 pm – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
