Obituary
Janice K. Brown was born April 4, 1949 and departed this life Tuesday, April 7, 2015 reaching the age of 66 years. She was the daughter of Kathryn Matilda (Allsteadt) and the late Pershing George Gravlin.
She is survived by: two daughters, Jamie Ray (Pete) and Cindy Richardson (Galen); four grandchildren, Joshua Bell, Megan Bell, Kaidy Richardson, and MacKenzie Richardson; one step granddaughter, Zayla Ray; and two great granddaughters, Brooklyn Bell & Isabella Smith. She is also survived by: her mother, Kathryn Gravlin; one brother, Lyle Gravlin; and two nieces, Jennifer Gravlin and Joanna Griffin; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her father, Pershing Gravlin, she was preceded in death by: husband, William "Billy" Brown.
She was a member of the Church of God in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015 after 4 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 6 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: The American Red Cross or Compassionate Care Center
