James Enoch "Buddy" West, Sr. was born July 9, 1940 and departed this life Sunday, September 16, 2012 reaching the age of 72. He was the son of the late William Edgar "Bill Fuzz" West and Edna (Wright) West.

He is survived by: his wife, Sharon (Bitner) West; 3 sons, James West, George Sweigart, and Donnie West; 2 daughters, Desiree Sweigart and Jackie Wade; and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 sisters, Minnie Walters and Ida Gibson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, William and Edna West, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother; and 8 sisters.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 20th, 2012 from 11 am – 1:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will be held after visitation at the Parmley's Grove Cemetery with Bro. Jason Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Parmley's Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
