James Bellamy West was born May 31, 1962 and departed this life Monday, April 24, 2017 reaching the age of 54 years. He was the son of Wilma (Bruner) West and the late Jimmy West.

He married Wilma Casada on August 21, 1999.

He is survived by: his wife, Wilma West; three children, Jason, Kiara, and Timeka West; and one grandchild, Asthon West. He is also survived by: his mother, Wilma West; five brothers, Gregory, Leslie, David, Tommy, and John West; two sisters, Lisa West and Mary McCutchen; special nephews, Chris West and Keegan Blakeley; special cousins, Tristan and Shyanne Baker; special sister-in-law, Sara Blakley; and two fur babies, Baron and Roxie; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his father, Jimmy West, he was preceded in death by: his infant son, Dalton West; one sister, Anna Ruth "Ruthie Crowley; and his father-in-law, Hoppy Casada.

James loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a natural mechanic and loved to work on mowers and motors.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27, 2017 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Casada-West Family Cemetery.
