James Ray Stonecipher was born December 8, 1936 and departed this life Saturday, July 10, 2021 reaching the age of 84 years. He was the son of the late Edgar Edwin and Beatrice Marie (Koger) Stonecipher.

He is survived by: his wife, Betty Jean Stonecipher; one son, James Michael (Hattie) Stonecipher; three grandchildren, Michael, Samuel, and Mollie Stonecipher; and one great grandchild, Elliot Ray Stonecipher. He is also survived by:  one brother, David (Kim) Stonecipher; and one sister, Alta Jean Carter; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Edgar and Beatrice Stonecipher, he was preceded in death by: four brothers, William Harrison, Jerry Lee, Robert Daniel, and Paul Edwin Stonecipher; and one sister, Lucille Pleska.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 15, 2021 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
