James Dale Slusher was born February 5, 1941, and departed this life Saturday, July 24, 2021, reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Earl and Ada Slusher.

He is survived by: his wife, Alice Slusher; 2 sons, Roger (Vickie Jo) Slusher and Robert (Julie) Slusher; 1 daughter, Vickie Sue (Lenny) Sheehan; 2 step-daughters, Tessy (Baron) Bodner and Leanne (Leland) Casada; 1 brother, Doyle Slusher; 3 sisters, Alene Stanifer, Leota Baker, and Joyce Isaacs; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Renae Sheehan, Joshua Ryan Slusher, and Susanna Jean Slusher; 7 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourns his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi Sue Slusher; and 4 sisters, Glenna Mason, Riley Mae Slusher, Edwina Everett, and Earldene Powell.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 1, 2021, after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the McDaniel Cemetery in London, KY.
