James R. Jones was born on May 8, 1938, and passed away on November 15, 2025, at age 87. He was the son of (the late) Oscar and Pearl (Worley) Jones.

He is survived by three daughters, Reda Dinkins, Janice Jasinski, and Wanda Neiberg; three sons, Ricky Jones, Jerry Jones, and Wayne Jones; three brothers, Glen Jones, Ernie Jones, and Tom Jones; three sisters, Rose Barnes, Ella Kelm, and Lisa Grant; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Arnold Jones.

James loved riding his motorcycle, which he called the Silver Bullet. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and the banjo.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the service time at 12 p.m. with burial to follow in the Bud Gregory Cemetery with Bro. Tom Abbott officiating.
