JAMES "JIM" WILLIAM MCGINNIS was born February 19, 1934 in Slickford, KY and departed this life October 12, 2004 reaching the age of 70 years. He was the son of Floyd McGinnis and Bessie Brown McGinnis.

He was united in marriage to Daisy Gunter McGinnis on July 3, 1965; he preceded his wife in death.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Diana Corder of Monticello, KY, Lessia Zimmerman of Somerset, KY, Sylvia McGinnis of Monticello, KY, and Judy Haney of Monticello, KY; one step son, James "Pete" Gunter of Georgetown, KY; three grandchildren, four step grandchildren and one step great grandchildren.

He is also survived by two brothers, Charles Willis McGinnis and Elbert McGinnis of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Minnie Hicks of Wayne County, KY; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Bessie McGinnis.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
