James "Floyd" Jones was born September 10, 1954, and departed this life Friday, November 10, 2023, reaching the age of 69 years. He was the son of the late Emmett Jones and Virgie (Hicks) Jones Davis.

He is survived by: his wife, Sharlene Jones; one daughter, Alisha Foster-Williams (Chris); and two grandchildren, Allison and Will Foster. He is also survived by:  one brother, Lloyd Jones (Melinda); and two sisters, Jean Hicks (Ronald) and Judy Burton (Scott); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He enjoyed his antique cars, NASCAR, going to the lake and eating ice cream.  And he loved his family!

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 13, 2023 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 10 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Full military honors were provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
