James Elmer Stinson was born March 12, 1935 and departed this life Wednesday, April 24, 2013 reaching the age of 78. He was the son of the late William Harrison and Sarah Margaret (McGinnis) Stinson.

He was united in marriage to Evelyn Pyles and to this union 4 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Evelyn Stinson; 1 son, James "Dooley" Stinson; 3 daughters, Jackie (Ricky) Massengale, Connie (Duane) Morrow, JoAnn (Lyndon) Aaron; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Don and Caleb "Fidge" Stinson; and 2 sisters, Sylvia "Jean" Cotner and Flonnie Hicks; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2 pm at the Dishman Cemetery with Bro. Corb Hicks and Bro. Ernest Mann officiating. Burial will be in Dishman Cemetery.
