James Crabtree was born March 3, 1957, and departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the age of 69 years. He was the son of the late Harvey and Betty Jean (Anderson) Crabtree.
He is survived by: siblings, David Crabtree, Donald Crabtree (Betty), Todd Crabtree (Vicky), and Loretta Francis (Jeff); nieces, Mashea “Shaker Bake” and Falisha (Blondie); nephew, Michael; numerous great-nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
James loved Dollywood and liked to travel.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Crabtree Cemetery on Harvey Crabtree Road.
Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
