James Dishman was born was born January 27, 1931 and departed this life August 27, 2003 reaching the age of 72. He was the son of the late Thomas H. Dishman and Perna Bridgeman Dishman.

He was united in marriage to Charlotta Sue Crabtree and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by his wife – Charlotta Sue Dishman, 1 son and daughter-in-law – David and Ramona Dishman of Miamisburg, OH, 1 daughter and son-in-law – Anita and Rick Peyton of Dayton, OH, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law – Thomas and Rosie Dishman of Monticello, Philip and Karen Dishman of Dayton, OH, 4 sisters and 1 brother-in-law – Mary Martin, Emily and Hack Crabtree, Christine Goff, Alta Ruth McGinnis all of Monticello, KY.2 grandchildren – Sherri Plemons and Darren Hayden of Dayton, OH, and 2 great grandchildren – Akaila Nicole and Alessa Monet, along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Thomas and Perna, and 1 brother – David Mac Dishman.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.


Visitation: The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 31 between the hours of 4:00 and 9:00 pm
Funeral Service: Funeral services will be Monday, September 1 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
