Jackie Slagle was born July 26, 1951, and departed this life Friday, July 3, 2026, reaching the age of 74 years. He was the son of the late Edgar “Ed” and Marie (Cooper) Slagle.

He is survived by: his wife, Wilma Slagle; one son, Byrant Slagle (Susan); and two grandchildren, Easton and Colson Slagle. He is also survived by: his siblings, Betty Leatherman, Janie Flynn, Madine Kelsay, Janice Stevens, Joe Slagle, and Carolyn Abbott; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2026, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
