Jackie Edwin Bell was born June 13, 1944 and departed this life Friday, January 21, 2022 reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of the late Edwin and Bertha Lee (Cox) Bell.

He is survived by: ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ He is survived by: 1 daughter, Tonya (Stacy) Slagle; 1 sister, Gwenave Edwina Bell; 2 granddaughters, Olivia (Dusty) Thompson and Lindsay (Andy) Tucker; 2 great grandchildren, Layla Tucker and Emmett Thompson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 5 sisters, Zula Joe Rendt, Frances Pelley, Ina Ruth Bell, Carolyn Joyce Bell, and Anna Jewell Baker; 4 brothers, Kenneth, Ray Wallace, Carl Milton, and Donald Howard Bell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 between 5 pm – 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.  (Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.)
