Obituary
Jack Taylor was born February 12, 1929 and departed this life Sunday, October 3, 2010 reaching the age of 81. He was the son of the late Roscoe and Ruby (Hines) Taylor.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Jane Stearns and to this union 2 children were born.
He is survived by: 1 son, John Taylor of Centennial, CO; 1 daughter, Cathy Medel of Louisville, KY: 4 grandchildren, Paul Taylor, Adam Taylor, B. K. Blair and Casandre Medel. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Bill Taylor of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Roscoe and Ruby Taylor, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Barbara Taylor; and 1 brother, 3 sisters, Mildred Tuttle, Jane Edwards, and Joan Bertram.
He owned and operated the local Farmer's Supply and Produce for over 45 years. He was also an Army Veteran, serving his country faithfully and bravely during the Korean War.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
