JACK ROBERTS PERDUE was born March 8th, 1950 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life Friday, February 11th, 2005 in San Jose, Costa Rica. He was the son of George Filmore "Pete" Perdue and Phyllis Barrier Perdue.

He was united in marriage to Peggy Jane Eads Perdue for 33 years and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by his wife Jane, one daughter-Heather Dawn Perdue and one son-Jared Eads Perdue and his wife Melissa, all of Monticello, KY. He is survived by his mother-Phyllis Perdue, one brother-Gary Perdue and three sisters-Linda Littrell, Sabra Guffey and Connie Young, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his father-Pete Perdue, one sister-Betty Jean Perdue Keith, and two nephews-Jonathan Perdue and Thomas Littrell.

He was a faithful member of the Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church, and served in many capacities as a Deacon, Trustee, Building Committee, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School and Missions. He was on a mission trip in Costa Rica doing the Lord's work when he was called Home.

He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, relative and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in his memory to the Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church Building Fund.


Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 17th, 2005 after 5 pm and on Friday, Feb. 18 after 8 am in the chapel of the funeral home.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18th, 2005 at 11 am in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burila will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery
