Obituary
IRVIN YANCEY was born June 28, 1922 and departed this life August 6, 2007 reaching the age of 85 years. He was the son of the late Leroy Yancey and Lara Wilder Yancey.
He married Cymbaline Pigmon on December 19, 1945.
He is survived by: his wife, Cymbaline Yancey of Monticello, KY; three sons, Cullen Leroy, Gary, and Donald Yancey; five daughters, Linda and Debbie Yancey, Kay Vititoe, Pam Gregory, and Donna Farmer; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three half sisters, Pat Pratt, Peggy Knifely, and Jennette Richards; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Leroy and Lara Yancey; three brothers, Carl, Frank, and Chester Yancey; and four sisters, Gertrude Wells, Flo Yancey, Mary Yancey, and Hazel Yancey.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Tuesday, August 7th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 8th at 11 am
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
