Irene Keith Dodd Cornett was born June 20th, 1923 in the Corncreek Community of Whitley County, KY, and departed this life Tuesday, March 4th, 2003, reaching the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of Rev. Charles E. Keith and Ozella Wells Keith.

She is survived by four sons-John "Tater" Dodd of Monticello, KY, Buddy Dodd of Shepherdsville, KY, Donnie Dodd of Monticello, KY and Ricky Dodd of Danville, KY and four daughters-Reba Creech of Monticello, KY, Wanda Dodd of Clayton, IN, Bobbie Jean Calvert of Greenwood, IN and Cleda Neff of Clayton, IN. She is survived by 28 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by one sister-Cora Martin of Akron, OH, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Samuel Dodd, her second husband Fred Cornett, one son-Charles Sam Dodd, two sisters-Beatrice Letzel and Bessie Goldworth and two brothers-Edward and Robert Keith.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, relative and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: The family will receive friends locally from 5-9 PM on Wednesday, March 5th in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home, and will resume Thursday night, March 6th in the chapel of the Tri-City Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Friday, March 7th at 1 PM in the chapel of the Tri-City Funeral Home in Benham, KY with Bro. Ray Soard and Rev. Larry Branson officiating.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Keith, KY.
