Ina Jean Coffey was born December 15, 1932, and departed this life Friday, December 23, 2022, reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late John Marvin and Ina Wilma (King) Brown.

She is survived by 1 son, Audie K. Coffey; 2 daughters, Aletha (husband Jerry) Bertram and Anita Y. Sumpter; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Sumpter, Ashley Hancock, and Benjamin S. (wife Julie) Sumpter; 2 great-grandchildren, Harper Hancock and Elizabeth A. Sumpter; along with a host of family and friends who mourns her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Brown.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2022, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bethesda Church Building Fund.
