Imogean (Lyons) Hughes was born May 25, 1936 and departed this life Tuesday, August 2, 2022 reaching the age of 86 years. She was the daughter of the late Doyle and Myrtle Lyons.

She is survived by: four children, Ronald (Diane) Hughes, Linda (Roger) Riddle, Larry (Mary) Hughes and Gary (Sheila) Hughes; eight grandchildren, Heather Hughes, Rhonda Boils, Shannon Jones, Melissa Hancock, Shawn Buswell, Dewayne Hughes, Angela Massengale, and Justin Dishman; and seventeen great grandchildren, Lindsey, Brandon Boils, Kim Jones, Amber Jones, Damion, Weston, Payton Hancock, Drew, Katie, Raylan Buswell, Maggie, Charlie Hughes, Carter Dishman, Melody, Chloe, Stephanie and Gabe Massengale.

She is also survived by two siblings, Everett (Lois) Lyons and Barbara (Steve) Guthrie; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Doyle and Myrtle Lyons, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ervin Hughes; one daughter, Carolyn Dishman; and four siblings, Earl, Keith Lyons, Wilma Sue Allen and Eva Laughlin.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 8, 2022 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.
