Ima Ruth Upchurch was born December 1, 1940, and departed this life Tuesday, March 28, 2023, reaching the age of 82 years. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Piercy) Morgan.

She is survived by: two sons, Edwin (Vivian) Upchurch and Jeff (Pam) Upchurch; one daughter, Anita (Greg) Edwards; 7 grandchildren, Jacob and Lucas Upchurch, Kaitlin Lowe, Jared Upchurch, Shelby Howard, Arin Edwards, and Jonna Upchurch; 4 great-grandchildren, Patricia Upchurch, Olivia Howard, Jase Upchurch and (on the way) Lauren Howard; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth Morgan, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kay D. Upchurch; and one sister, Norma Lois Bertram.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2023, between 5 pm – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
