Ida Bell Guffey was born December 28, 1915 and departed this life Sunday, December 13, 2015 reaching the age of 99 years. She was the daughter of the late John and Lola Mae (Cook) Catron.

She married Lesco "Bill" Guffey and to this union 7 children were born.

She is survived by: three daughters, Emma Jean Brake, Mary Philippi, and Theresa Reynolds; and 24 grandchildren. She is also survived by: one brother, Everett Catron; and two sisters, Dicie Stinson and Allene Jenkins; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, John and Lola Catron, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Bill Guffey; one son, James Ralph Guffey; three daughters, Betty Tarter, Leta Lowe, and Anna Sears; five brothers, Walter, Leonard, Jake, Estil and Edgar Catron; and two sisters, Luda and Evelene Catron.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 6 – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 1pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
