Hubert Kay Hicks was born on April 30, 1961, and departed this life on Monday, June 12, 2023, reaching the age of 62 years.  He was the father of Emily, Paige, and Sadie.  Kay was the son of the late Hubert and Mary Hicks.

He is survived by his three daughters: Emily, Paige and Sadie, and their mother Janie Davis Hicks; his expected grandson Beck; his two sisters, Lucille Denney and Jean Clark; his five brothers, Marshall, Hershel, Martin, Randall, and Jack Hicks.  He is survived by 90 nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.

Kay was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Wilford and Ray Guffey, Robert and Eddie Hicks.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16, 2023, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Alpha community at Hicks-Frost Cemetery.
