Howard "Cobby" Morris was born February 24, 1937 and departed this life Saturday, September 12, 2009 reaching the age of 72 years. He was the son of the late Virgil Howard and Dorothy Mae (Savage) Morris.

He is survived by: his wife, Cindy Bates, 2 daughters, Maxine Burchett and Laura Allen, 4 sons, Tommy, Tony, William, and Mack Bates, and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by: 1 sister, Barbara Morris, and 2 brothers, Billy and Freddy Morris; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Virgil and Dorothy, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Morris.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation: Sunday, September 13th between 5 - 9 pm
Funeral Service: Monday, September 14th at 1 pm
Interment: Hilltop Cemetery
