Homer H. Shelton, age 62, of Monticello, husband of Irene Shelton, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at UK Medical Center in Lexington KY.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Dean Shelton; a son Jeff "Scotty" Dean; 2 daughters- Samantha Shelton and Ashley (Stephen) Jones; 3 brothers- Robert Arnold, Amos Dale, and Eugene Shelton; 2 sisters- Donita Smith and Ruby Dean; and 6 grandchildren- Devin and Logan Slagle, Colby Shelton, Mason Jones, Ryleigh Bryant, and Tynsleigh Shelton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: four brothers, Ralph, Troy, Sterlie "Stevie" and Tommy Shelton; and one sister, Marilyn Bell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 5-8 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1 pm in the chapel of Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial will follow in the New Sandusky Cemetery.
