Mr. Homer Piercy, was born March 16, 1923, in the Slickford community of Wayne County, Ky., and departed this life January 12, 2003, being 79 years of age. He was the son of Ether Piercy and Pernia Morgan Piercy. He was the husband of Versie McClellan Piercy. He made his living as a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Versie, and a sister- Dessie Riddle of Lexington, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Mount Zion Methodist Church Building Fund.


Visitation: Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 from 5-8 PM in the chapel
Funeral Service: Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home
Interment: Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Ky.
