Hobert Piercy was born August 15, 1947 and departed this life Sunday, May 24, 2015 reaching the age of 67 years. He was the son of the late Larry and Bonnie (Daniels) Piercy. His wife, Laurine (Godsey) Piercy and son, James Piercy also died as a result of a house fire.

He is survived by: children, Mary Bell and Scotty Piercy; and 2 grandchildren. He is also survived by: four brothers, Earl, Ray, Roger, and Ken Piercy; three sisters, Bea Massingill, Helen Hicks, and Geraldine Burnett; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, wife, and son, he was preceded in death by: one brother, Tom Piercy; and three sisters, Joyce Stinson, Charlotte Rose Piercy, and Betty Jean Piercy; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2 pm at the Davis Chapel Cemetery. Burial will be in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Piercy Family Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
