Obituary
HERSHEL ELDON PEAVIE was born October 18th, 1925 and departed this life Thursday, September 14th, 2006 reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late James Rice Peavie and Mollie Elizabeth Smith Peavie.
He was united in marriage to Golda Guffey Peavie and to this union four children were born.
He is survived by his wife Golda, two sons-Perry Eldon and Hershel Dale Peavie and two daughters-Geraldine Peavie Thompson and Linda Peavie Pierce, all of Monticello, KY.. He is survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers-Herbert and Jimmy Peavie both of New Castle, IN, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers-Jimmy, Roy and Charlie Peavie and four brothers who died in infancy and one sister-Flonnie Neal.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Saturday, September 16th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Sunday, September 17th at 2 pm
Interment: Gap Creek Cemetery
