Hersel Correll was born February 14, 1921 and departed this life June 20, 2008 reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late William Tate Correll and Rosa Belle East Correll.
He was married for over 40 years to Lula Mercer who preceded him in death. He was the youngest of six brothers and one sister, all who have preceded him in death. Having no children of his own he has always had a close relationship with his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is survived by: 13 several nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews, 28 great-great nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He lived most of his adult life in Indianapolis, IN. The last 3 ½ years he lived in Northern Kentucky with his niece Sydney and her family. He enjoyed fishing, the Cincinnati Reds ballgames and spending time with family either on a trip or just sitting around talking. Oh yea! Playing cards, Rook and Eucher. He seldom lost. He was also an avid U.K. fan, and liked attending the KY Derby. His roots have always been in Kentucky. He never called Indiana his home he always called Kentucky his home. His favorite foods were fish, corn on the cob, home grown tomatoes, pinto beans and corn bread.
He was a loving uncle, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 24th at11 am
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
