HERBERT RAY JONES was born May 19, 1919 and departed this life September 4, 2006 reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late Nathan Lee and Roxie Twyford. Jones.

He was united in marriage to Janie Wilhite.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Jones; three sons, David Lee, Forrest Gene, and Loval Ray Jones; and 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Roxie Jones; two brothers, Frank and Charles; and five sisters, Ester Wright, Sula Tate, Florence Gamblin, Alice James, and Ona Higginbotham.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Service: Thursday, September 7th at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
