Herbert Keith Acrey was born June 12, 1946, and departed this life Sunday, November 26, 2023, reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of the late Hubby and Mary Helen (Guffey) Acrey.

He married Billly Sue Burris and to this union two sons were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Billy Sue Acrey; two sons, Doug Acrey and Scott Acrey (Vachelle); five grandchildren, Jessica Hancock, Cody Acrey (Jasey), Cory Acrey (Tristan Dishman), Shana Rednour (Chris), and Darrin Acrey; and eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by:  five siblings, Joyce Hicks (Leland), Patsy Gregory, David Acrey (Judy), Judy Ledbetter (Kenny) and Chuck Acrey (Rita); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Hubby and Mary Acrey, he was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Jaden Hancock.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Choate Cemetery.
