Henry W. Schmitt was born July 12, 1959 and departed this life January 9, 2021 reaching the age of 61 years. He was the son of the late Ludwig and Ruby (Hammond) Schmitt.

He is survived by: four brothers, Roger, Wesley, Bobby, and Ludwig "Junior" Schmitt; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2021 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
