Mrs. Helen Needham was born April 21st, 1921, and departed this life Wednesday March 5th, 2008, reaching the age of 86 years. She was the daughter of the late Shad and Maggie Burdine Harper.

She is survived by: one step-daughter, Margorie Needham Bow of Monticello, KY; one step-grandson, Tom Bow of Pikeville, KY; one step-granddaughter, Lisa Needham Hutchins of Fulton, KY; 5 step-great grandchildren, Kyle Bow, Erin Hutchins of Nashville, TN, Garrett Hutchins of Fulton, KY, Shanea Garretson of Louisville, KY, and Joy Gilliam of Walton, KY; 4 step-great great grandchildren, Gabriel and Drake Gilliam and Cole Thomas and Ty Garretson; one niece, Beverly Surgine Feller of Denver, CO; 2 nephews, Skip Surguine of Indianapolis, IN, and Harold Surguine of Paris, France. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, James Julius Needham; her parents, Shad and Maggie Burdine Harper; 2 sisters, Gracie Harper and Beatrice Surguine; and one brother, Clyde Harper.

She was a loving step-mother, step-grandmother, step-great grandmother, step-great great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, relative, and friend that will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Friday, March 7th, 2008, after 5pm
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
