Helen Katherine "Kathy" Sweet Parrigin was born May 8, 1955 and departed this life Sunday, October 6, 2019 reaching the age of 64 years. She was the daughter of the late Arlin and Elizabeth (Fugate) Sweet.

She married Everette Eugene "Gene" Parrigin and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: one son, Waylon Parrigin (Rachel); one daughter, Casey Decker (Jimmy); and three grandchildren,Wyatt Parrigin, Hailey Gregory and Jaylon Gregory. She is also survived by: four brothers, Rayburn (Blanche) Sweet, Danny Sweet, Paul (Katrina) Sweet, and James Ray Sweet; and five sisters, Lora Elam, Mary (Robert) Barrier, Judy Denney, Lilly Massengale, and Janie Sweet; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Arlin and Elizabeth Sweet, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Gene Parrigin; four brothers, Eddy, Johnny, Grady, and Jimmy Sweet; and two sisters, Martha Catron and Sandra Carrender.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
