Helen Hicks was born June 5, 1951 and departed this life Saturday, January 22, 2022 reaching the age of 70 years. She was the daughter of the late Larry and Bonnie (Daniels) Piercy.

She married Clay Hicks and to this union 8 children were born.

She is survived by: six children, Shannon Sue Kennedy, Donnie Kaye Hicks, Rachel Mae Wiles (Joseph), Sharon Rose Lowe (Elmer), Hollie Faye Dishman and Josh Hicks; 14 grandchildren, Adam Dishman, Anthony, Andrew, & Austin Kennedy, Chelsea, Adrianna "Anna", & Seth Ragan, Brett Lowe, Elijah, Hannah & Ava Dishman, Jimmy, Bethany, & John Hicks; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by:  two brothers, Earl and Ray Piercy; and two sisters, Bea Massengill and Geraldine Burnett; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Clay Hicks; her daughter, Charlotte Rose Dishman; one son, Jimmy Clay Hicks; four brothers, Roger, Tom, Kenneth, and Hobert Piercy; and one sister, Joyce Stinson.

Due to inclement weather, the service has been rescheduled.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 31, 2022 between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hicks Cemetery.
