Hazel Irene Hicks, age 84, of Monticello; wife of Fred Hicks, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Golden Years Nursing Home in Monticello.

In addition to her husband Fred; she is survived by three sons- Donald (and Beverly) Hicks, Ronald" Dude"(and Jean) Hicks, and Joe(and Denise) Hicks; 1 sister- Betty (and Ray) Stonecipher; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 5-9 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10 am in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello, Ky. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
