Hazel Dick was born January 18, 1938 and departed this life Thursday, October 27, 2022, reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late Delbert and Dora (Barnes) Koontz.

She is survived by: one son, Darrell Dick; one daughter, Sherry Anderson; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Gary Lee Koontz (Julie); along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Delbert and Dora Koontz, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Dick; three brothers, Roy Edward, James Wilroe, and Arvel Benton Koontz; and six sisters, Earlene Barnett, Lorene Barnett, Cleo Coffey, Phyllis Neely, Gwen Morrow, and Debra Koontz.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, between 12 noon – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
