Obituary

Harold Camplin III (61), passed in peace on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at his home in Monticello, KY.

Harlie, as he was called by family and friends, was originally from Dayton, Ohio. He was the son of Harold and Shirley Camplin , and the brother to Jill Schenck (Camplin), Michael Camplin and his spouse Ed, Cheryl Watson (Camplin), and David Camplin and his wife Lori. He is survived by his mother and siblings, as well as his niece Jessica Schenck, nephews Justin Schenck and his wife Amber, Christopher Watson and his wife Jessica, and Keith Watson , and by his great nieces Leila Schenck, Riley Schenck, and Brielle Schenck and his great nephew Cannon Schenck.

Harlie never met a stranger and virtually everyone would find themselves disarmed by his smile and uproarious laugh. He had three rules for life: more love, more fun, and more rock and roll. Beyond being a son, brother, and uncle, he was a friend, confidant, and ally. He was also a very skilled craftsman, which is evidenced by the serene estate he built as his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home in Monticello, KY on Saturday, April 16, 2016 in observance of what would have been his 62nd birthday this will be held 2-5 pm please bring chairs and coolers and a favorite story about Harold to share. If there was one thing Harlie took seriously, it was a party.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to tell someone you love them, go on the adventure you've been putting off, or to turn the music up just a little bit louder.

Rest in peace, Harold.
