Harold Eugene Denney was born September 5, 1925 to Reverend John J. Denney and Zada Young Denney.

He united in marriage to Luvernia Morrow on June 16, 1947. They had three sons: Jimmy (Vicky Walker) Denney, Alvin Denney (who preceded him in death), and Dale (Kathie Weston) Denney.

He is also survived by one sister: Wanda Denney (Earl) Flynn. Harold is also blessed with seven grandchildren: Valerie Denney Stumph, Hether Denney Buhler, Angela Denney Jones, Maria Denney Haefner, Justin Denney, Kathie Denney Brewer, and Joshua Denney; and numerous great grandchildren.

He accepted Christ at an early age and at the time of his passing he was a deacon at Old Charity United Baptist Church. He faithfully served the Lord throughout his 88 years of life until the Lord called him home on April 2, 2014.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 after 6 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Spann Hill Cemetery.
