Guy Decker Sr., 92, of Monticello KY entered into eternal peace at Wayne Co. Hospital on Nov. 20, 2013.

He is survived by his second wife of 13 years, Bessie Stockton of Monticello, KY. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 59 years Ruth V. Decker, with whom he had 4 children: the late George L. Decker, Margaret W. Dale of Miami FL, Anna Ruth Kennedy (Mintford) of Albany KY, Guy Decker Jr. of San Francisco CA.

He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Cynthia A. Dinardo of Miami FL, Michael J Dinardo of Miami FL, Veronica Decker of Chesapeake VA, Taiho Decker of San Francisco CA, Michele Goane of Oceanside CA, Deborah Gibson of Albany KY, Logan Decker of San Francisco CA, and Danny Decker of Sacramento CA. Guy is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by stepson Doug Stockton (wife, Donna) of Monticello, KY as well as Special Friends Roy and Charlene Edwards, Ruth Guffey and Shirley Dobbs.

Guy was lifelong legal resident of Monticello, KY but also enjoyed time living in NJ and FL.

As a WWII and Korean War Veteran and Bronze Star recipient, Guy retired as Master Sergeant in 1970 after serving 26 years in the United States Army.

Services will be held Friday Nov. 29, 2013 at Hicks and Vaughn Funeral Home of Monticello KY. Family viewing is 10am – 11am. Public visitation is at 11 am – 1pm. Service to follow at 1pm. Burial will be at Elks Spring Cemetery.
