Glen Ray Slagle, age 66, peacefully passed from this life on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 8:05 pm at his residence in Monticello, KY.

Glen was born on January 19, 1952 in Wayne County, KY to the late Elmer Slagle and Stella Pauline Winchester.

Glen spent many years working as a tire technician at Syke's Tire in Bowling Green, KY until he retired.  Glen highly enjoyed spending his time outdoors and riding his 4-wheeler in the woods. Glen also loved country and gospel music and spent a lot of time at the Wayne County Senior Citizen Building where he loved dancing and being around his friends. Glen also loved spending time with his family.

Glen was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Pauline Winchester; his father, Elmer Slagle; one sister, Linda Reed; and brother, Johnny Winchester.

Glen was survived by his wife, the mother of his children, and the love of his life, Mary Slagle; three sons, Glen William (Jr.), David Odell and Elmer Ray (and April) Slagle; five grandchildren, Deanna, Brandon, David, Dawson, and Kandyn.  He was also survived by:  brothers, Eugene Slagle and Lee Winchester; sisters, Pearl West, Thelma Ramsey, Darlene Stinson, Virginia Turner and Barbara Roysdon.  Glen is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 2, 2018 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Old Sandusky Cemetery.
