Glen Massengale was born December 18, 1926 and departed this life Sunday, February 24, 2013 reaching the age of 86. He was the son of the late E. G. and Orpha (Conn) Massengale.

He is survived by: his wife, June (Stearns) Massengale of Monticello, KY; his son, Mark Massengale of Monticello, KY; his daughter, Jill Massengale of Monticello, KY; and 1 grandson, Todd Massengale of Monticello, KY. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Wendell "Howard" Massengale of Monticello, KY and Martin Massengale of Nebraska; and 1 sister, Lois Shultz of Erlanger, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

Glen was a teacher, business man and civic leader; known for his hard work and determination.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 4 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Walker, Bro. Koger Ramsey, and Glenn Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to one of the following: Wayne County Hospital, Hospice of Lake Cumberland, or Scholarship Fund at SKRECC
