Obituary
Gladys Smith Turner was born April 3, 1920 and departed this life Tuesday, November 09, 2010 reaching the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Reuben and Lizzie (Brockman) Smith.
She was united in marriage to Leonard Turner and to this union one child was born.
She is survived by: her son, Harold (Charlene) Turner of Monticello, KY; 2 grandchildren, Lance (Kristi) Turner and Carissa Turner; and 2 great grandchildren, Lane and Jade Turner; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Reuben and Lizzie Smith, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Leonard Turner; and 1 grandchild, Vanessa Jade Turner.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Marcum officiating. Burial will be in Parmley's Grove Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
Parmley's Grove Church Cemetery or the Gideon's International Bible Fund
